January

29  Public Information-Sharing meeting with DNR about the TMDL, or Total Maximum Daily Load, document being written on the Hinkson. Meeting to be held in County Council chambers, starting at 5:30

February

6, 13, 20 Show-Me Yards program. Local experts talk about different facets of landscaping and yard maintenance that reduces impacts on the environment. Each day has different subjects. Workshops start at 6:30, end at 9:00 at the ARC.  Call Frank Gordon at the city at 874-7111 (gen info number) for reservations.

7  Show-Me Yards seminar, pt 1. Various presenters from University Extension, Master Gardeners, City of Columbia, and others will instruct on how to keep yards healthy while minimizing impact on local streams.
