A Civil Group, a local engineering firm, was hired in April 2009, to complete a feasibility study to determine the possibility of retrofitting properties within the identified hotspot area (commercial lots located in the general area of the I-70 and Hwy 63 corridor) with stormwater treatment and detention structures. These practices will be based on cost of installation, cost of maintenance for 15 years, amount of treatment provided, and the level of treatment provided. The feasibility analysis identified 19 sites for potential stormwater retrofits. The number of sites chosen to retrofit will depend on the total cost of Best Management Practices (BMPs) per site compared to the budget for BMP funding.
